In Belarus “8 Marta” is one of the biggest enterprise of light industry, well-known in our republic and far beyond its borders. OJSC “8 Marta” celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2006 and is one of the leaders in knitted and leg wear production and sales.


Development History
The history of the enterprise started in 1926, when there was opened small production of knitted wear with 5 employees. One of the reasons of OJSC “8 Marta” popularity is wide range and high quality level which was again and again proved at presentation fairs and exhibitions in Belarus, Russia, Germany. At the enterprise there is ISO 9001 quality system which became an effective method of improving the quality results that had been achieved. Much work is done for creating and introduction of new technologies, new assortment. We mainly emphasize natural qualities, comfort and utility, convenience and design, responding modern tendencies.
To paint and trim fabrics we have the following equipment: “Soft-Strim”, “Roto-Strim”, trimming line “Santex”, drying-tentering machines “Brucknet”, “Elitex”. To make printing we use printing machine “Shtormak”, “Multi-Pla”, preformed printing machine “Synchroprint”. Much work is done by specialists at researching new types of raw materials, designing of new goods. Knit fabrics are produced in modern color range with various texture printing and piece printing using embroidery. To make fabric and leg wear dyeing stronger we use active and light-resistant dyes. There was entered a water-retaining technology of fabric dyeing improving the want-satisfying qualities of the goods.

Areas
For years our enterprise has been manufacturing goods of ladies’, men’s, children’s and babies’ merchandise lines of knitwear and leg wear. There are more than 400 models of knitwear and over 700 models of leg wear designed and manufactured per year. Along with low-cost goods of underwear and leg wear available for all layers of society there are also more expensive goods united in men’s and women’s brands. With tender love to children OJSC “8 Marta” designs and manufactures high-quality, attractive, comfortable knitted outerwear, underwear and leg wear for all age groups: infants, babies and preschool ages, schoolchildren and teenagers.
We offer knitted wear for sleeping, walking, studying, sport, active rest including beachwear range.

Various stylish models made of high-quality 100% cotton, they are soft and non-allergenic. Wide range of leg wear is provided by constant changes of motifs, various color range and use of modern raw materials combined with elastane fibers.

Every mother wants her baby not only to look good, but also to feel confident among the mates. An important role here is played by the comfort that your child will feel when he or she wears this wear. That’s why our enterprise cares a lot about the construction of children’s wear and underwear not abridging your baby’s freedom.

With that purpose “8 Marta” creative team has created “EMICO” brand. Potential customers of “EMICO” line are men at the age of 18-65 with an average and high income level and an active life position, who endeavor to achieve great personal and professional heights both in business and in their life. ”Emico” trade mark is a mix of present and future. Fabrics of high-quality cotton with elastane create a feeling of freedom and comfort. Innovative fabrics, advance guard materials and various garniture fight for men’s preferences. Classic, advance guard, labels, elastics, lines make the collection highly stylish and elegant. The perfect quality of our products responding to all international standards satisfy the highest requirements of our customers and the unique features of natural fibers such as cotton, linen, wool help be healthy, feel comfortable, perfect and confident. At the present time the production rate of “Emico” range of products reach 30% of the total production range. Domestic and foreign trade companies sell this product line really successfully.
“Marta” is a new brand which is our gift to charming ladies. As the most important characteristics of and enterprise in modern economic conditions are sales amounts, it explains the desire to separate our own products from the competing goods, invent something new, be ahead. With that purpose in 2006 the team of specialists designed a new brand of knitted goods for ladies “Marta”.
The first collection, presented in October 2006 at the 19th International Fair “BelTEXSlegprom” in Minsk was an unbelievable success, that was a result of an optimal balance of price and quality as well as a scientific approach to all spheres of activity from new models’ design to choosing fabrics.

«Marta» is wear for all life situations, work, holidays, rest, including the collection of romantic style blouses and jackets for all ages, dresses for cocktails and special cases, a line of sports models for youth and for active rest. Three points are emphasized here, these are high-quality fabric, ideal design, variety of models. Moreover the new brand goods are oriented at the average price segment which makes “Marta” trade mark available for wide circles of customers.
